A long time back, before WWDC 2012 that was held in June, investment analysts like Kuo of KGI and White of Topeka had hinted strongly that the months of September-October would be very exciting for Apple and its customers. New analysis and reports appear to corroborate this.
Apple is expected to release up to 8 new products by the end of this year. Kuo of KGI Securities has got several predictions right about the MacBooks and a few other rumors in the past, and if what he says turns out to be true, we’ll be seeing up to 8 new products: this includes iPhone 5, iPad Mini and a new iPod Touch.
The image shows the expected products and the product release dates for the same.
The 13″ MBP with Retina and the 21.5” iMac are already out (as is clear from their positions outside of September). The market’s eyes are fixed on two important products:
iPhone 5
iPad Mini
Apparently, supply chain rumors and analysis of parts has led to some speculation that Apple is struggling with part shortages. In fact, the analyst posits that Apple has been facing this problem since the start of this year and that many of the purported products had actually been planned for release earlier.
Notable devices would be the new iPod Touch and the new iPod Nano: no information on either has surfaced as such, while the iPhone 5 has seen much light of the day. We’ve had several leaks of parts, specifications are almost confirmed and the device itself is almost familiar to most now.
With the iPad Mini, it had earlier been rumored to be released in October, but the new analysis appears to push it further down the line.
A lot of people have already spoken of the new modified iPad (Marco of Instapaper posted about it too) although information on both the iPad Mini and the modified iPad is scarce.
