iOS 6 beta 3, seeded to developers last week, drops the requirement for re-entering your iTunes password when downloading a free app from the App Store.
This relaxation, combined with the App Store's newly gained ability to not jump to the homescreen when installing apps, greatly simplifies the flow involved while downloading free iOS apps.
In earlier versions of the beta, Apple lifted this requirement for app updates that had already been purchased or downloaded.
It always seemed unnecessary (and annoying) to re-enter password while downloading free apps, so it's good to know that Apple has finally addressed the issue in iOS 6.
