Samsung kickstarted its retail campaign in North America with a store in the Canadian city of Vancouver.
The retail stores obviously intend to better connect Samsung with its potential as well as existing customers, but that's not the only thing that's common between Apple and Samsung's retail strategy.
The store has a minimalist feel to it, with its layout and use of empty space. It even has Apple like "Geniuses" who assist customers and a wall full of accessories commonly found in Apple Stores. BGR in fact calls the store an "unbashed ripoff."
The store is definitely inspired by Apple Stores, but we won't go as far as calling it a blatant ripoff.
It is in fact a good thing that other companies are getting influenced by Apple and putting in their resources to create better stores, and moving forward we'd even expect Samsung to bring in alternative store designs and layouts, just like it did with the Galaxy S3.
Samsung could have, however, chosen a different color for its own "Geniuses":
