Repair firm - SmartPhone Medic have created a comparison video of the purported next generation iPhone parts and iPhone 4S parts.
While we've seen photos of these leaked parts, the video gives a close-up look at what changes can be expected in iPhone 5's internals.
Here are some of the highlights from the video:
'iPhone 5' front panel is much taller (but not wider) than iPhone 4S' front panel.
The position of the front facing camera and proximity sensor have been switched:
The front camera has moved directly above the speaker
The proximity sensor has moved to the left side of the speaker
Not surprisingly, 'iPhone 5' front panel looks quite small compared to Samsung Galaxy S III's 4.8-inch display.
'iPhone 4S' flex cables houses the headphone jack, volume rocker and vibrator switch, whereas 'iPhone 5' flex cables houses the sleep/wake button control, volume rocker and vibrator switch.
In case of the charge port flex cables, the most visible change is the new smaller dock connector instead of the 30-pin dock connector. It also houses the headphone jack, which is in line with rumors that have indicated that Apple is planning to move the headphone jack to the bottom.
'iPhone 5' proximity sensor flex cable also houses the noise-cancellation microphone, where as iPhone 4S' proximity sensor flex cable houses the wake/sleep controls
Overall, if these parts are indeed the real deal then Apple seems to have managed to make these components smaller and more compact, to achieve the goal of making the new iPhone thinner than iPhone 4S.
Apple is widely expected to unveil 'iPhone 5' at a media event on September 12, followed by the release on September 21.
