Apple has started airing the iPad mini television ad with the launch of the device earlier today. Apple had unveiled the ad titled “Piano” at the iPad and Mac Special event on October 23rd
The television commercial starts off with someone playing the opening notes of “Heart and Soul” on the piano using the Garageband app on the full-sized iPad with two-fingers. The camera then reveals the new iPad mini with someone continuing to play along on the GarageBand app with one finger.
That’s it. The short and simple ad does a good job of showing customers how much smaller the iPad mini is compared to the full-sized iPad and also drives home the idea that everything you do on the full-sized iPad can also be done on the smaller iPad.
